2 way frig: 12 volt and 120 volt (reply)

If it's a Norcold 2 way, the unit has a 'two part' power supply that
converts 12DC to 24 volts AC; it also converts 120 VAC to 24 VAC.

The compressor resonates at 60 cycles (Hertz) to make the unit work.

I'd suspect that the 120 to 24 side of your unit's power supply isn't
working.

It probably works on shore power from the 12 volt side, as the batteries are
being charged by the converter.

(Don't know exactly, however, why only the Onan will 'trick' the unit into
not working... but it's probably an input frequency dependant problem.)

These power supplies are somewhat a goofy thing. There is a guy in Elkhart
that repairs them, I'll see if I can find his number. It's been posted here
before, but I'm at work and don't have it at my fingertips.
