I was just asked by a prospective GMCer as to what gas milage to expect.
As everyone knows, or should know, I'm not the right person to ask about gas
milage. Gas is still the cheapest in the equation and when I can't afford
the gas I'll stay home, i.e. treat the GMC like a boat and never leave the
marina
Anyhoo... my last trip totalled 2337 miles in 10 days, Bakersfield/return.
Average speed about 60-65-ish
Milage per US gallon averaged 6.912 which included 36.4 hours of GenSet
time.
I only buy the cheap stuff, i.e. 87 octane. High was 1.759 and low was
1.519.
Max tranny out temp: 204 degrees for less than 5 minutes. I think I'll keep
my 'temporary' cooling arangement for a while longer
