I am looking to replace my primary car as I my car was rear ended
and totaled recently. I know little of what I am doing as I have
et to take my 76 Palm Beach out on the road as I purchased it last
July and am currently working on it to get it roadworthy.
I need an automatic transmission vehicle that I can tow on all
four wheels: limits it to the Saturn, Cavalier/Sunfire or the new
Malibus/Cutlasses. I don't care for the ride of the Saturn and
Cavaliers (I'll use the car daily to commute to work) and I am
considering buying a 1 year old Malibu from Hertz with 27,000 miles
for $13k. It weighs in at 3,100 pounds. Is this too heavy of a
vehicle to tow? I am especially concerned because I live in Denver
and will have to go through the mountains on any west bound trips.
Also, any recommendations on toad braking systems. From other
messages, it seems like the P&E Tow bars seem to be a good value
in tow bars.
Thanks
