1977 26' Royale

Walter,

I have a chance to buy a 1977 Royale in very good condition with
62K original miles and always garaged out here in the San Diego area.
It's never been out in any kind of serious weather. Its got the 403, 3
year old Goodyears (not G159s). Wheels are stock with hub caps. The
carpet and upholstery were replaced 3 years ago and it has the rear
bath. Onan is 6K with very low hours and everything inside works and has
two roof airs and a working original refrigerator. Outside looks very
presentable with original paint in very good condition attributable to
being garaged I'm sure.
What do you think it is worth? He is asking $26K which seems too steep
to me. What do you think it should go for assuming it has no major
problems. The wheel bearings were replaced two years ago and brakes done
last summer and it runs and drives very well. I know Royales are
spendie, but what do you think?

Phil, I never saw an answer on the Net to your question regarding the
Royale in San Diego, and very curious what you found out, and if you ended
up buying the '77 Royale. I heard about it over a month ago, and I called
the owner in Coronado. He quoted me the same price of 26K. But, I was
unsure since it had the original paint and the 403, among other things.
And, I didn't want to go view it without knowing more.
