I am in the doghouse now and have to sell one of the vehicles I have. My
wife is one of the most understanding woman I know when it comes to putting
up with my foolishness concerning toys, but guess I have finally pushed her
over the edge. Bought another GMC a short time ago and she was almost
incoherent than but calmed down after a little physical therapy, a promise
from me to reform, and another promise to take the whole family with
grandkids to Disney World over christmas. But last week an opportunity
presented itself which caused me to lose track of reality for just long
enough to get me into serious trouble. I have been looking for a Mercedes
Benz station wagon for a long time, and found one that is as close to new as
I would ever find. Signed the papers, bought it and took it home. Now no
place to park it at the house,,and the two of us will not fit into the dog
house.

A short time ago I bought a second GMC motorhome a 1974 Canyonlands and it
is now parked in my driveway waiting for me to start it up(it was trailered
here so have never heard it run) and drive it into town and my shop. Just
what I have been looking for, a very low mileage coach that I could
completely customize as i wished. It shows 46,000 miles and the frame and
most of the interior look like it could be right. The refrigerator(previous
owner left it somewhere for repairs and can't remember where) and generator
(it was stolen just a few days before I moved it) are missing. It does have
a very rare thermasan unit. Looks to have palm beach color upholstery and
seats in very good condition. passenger windshield has a small crack.
Several breaks in the fiberglass of the body (I think from moving it around
the last 8 years in storage)which will be very easy to repair. This coach
has not been driven since 1991. Needs a new headliner in the portion of the
coach near the door. Transmission is newly rebuilt with zero miles on it
rebuilt by a very reputable company. I checked out their shop. Air bags
look like new and the coach is still sitting high, although it has schrader
valves on the bags now. Rear brake drums still have some of the paint on
them. Frame looks straight and now rot that I can see. Bath module appears
perfect.

This is a perfect coach to buy and rebuild.

Anyone want it for $5000 its yours before I advertise it for sale on ebay?
