Goodyear makes all steel radials under the G159 group with both
long-wearing standard tread and a M/S (mud and snow) tread. Load rating are
at 65 MPH.
The same LT225/75R16 tire is rated at both D and E depending on the
inflation pressure.
The single load rating for D is at 65 psi for 2,335 pounds/tire.
The same tire at 80 psi is an E rating of 2,680 pounds/tire.
Duals (same axial) are derated 8% but does not apply to GMC tandem axials

Chuck:

Are you sure there are not separate D and E load range tires? Looking
at the charts for the below URL, I note that there is a difference in
weight of one pound between the two? I'm not convinced that the rating
is as simple as different air pressures for the same tire.
