Looking at the instruction manual it looks like your missing the ground
sense wire.

Think you might only have email on the road... but what you need is a
ground. The circuit inside measures the voltage from ground to the either
battery. No ground--- no work.

so just make sure you are using the correct terminal, Mine is different or
I would take pix for you.

In fact to turn mine off I remove the ground. Sounds like that is working
for you.....to

flash washed out the connections so could not read from your pix.

don't forget to stop at Orik----- free camping on the beach-- just above
Trinidad.

Gary,

You need a ground from the center terminal on top. The other 2 terminals
don't need anything for automatic operation.

Assuming you have both batteries grounded (negative) to frame, any good
ground point will do. It only needs to be a small wire as it's only a sense
wire.

With engine running the LED on top of the Combiner will light showing that
the relay closed.
It takes some time for relay to close and also to open, i.e. built in delay
so don't be alarmed if the LED doesn't light immediately.

Without the ground the relay will not close.

It's a little awkward to see the LED, I use a dentists mirror. They'll have
a remote LED soon :-)
