So since we’ve been kinda grounding this summer, compared to other summers because of this Covid thing, I thought I would put a question to all you
guys that have gone thru the gantlet of restoring our GMC’s. If you have gone thru the major upgrades and items of upgrades that would be above say
500$, what would be the best items in the 100-200$ range or less, that would be a great item to do. Kinda of the dot the “I’s and cross the
T’s” kind of thing?

I gave this a bit of thought and i do like the above lists, many of those things are on mine. The one item that should be on everyone's list at the
top under 100$ is nothing as exciting but more important than all..... A FIRE EXTINGUISHER OR 2!! :)

I have seen lot of burned up coaches that should had few.
We know the Fire Fight units are better as they do not corrode the
electrical.

I was going to post a similar thing to what Jim K. posted regarding NOT using a dry chem extinguisher.
Yes dry chem works but you won't like the mess.
The aqueous foam ones are popular and effective. If you store your coach where there are freezing
temperatures, make sure you understand if the extinguisher you choose can stand freezing.
Also for places like the reefer compartment if you have a reefer that uses a fire to cool you might want to
consider something with a manually actuated remote to set it off. I would consider an semi automatic release if I
felt confident that it would only go off if REALLY needed
Extinguisher systems regardless of what you choose are less expensive than the repairs after a fire.

TV station had an electrical fire in the distribution panel and one rack of a transmitter. They squelched it with dry chemical extinguishers. They
wrote off a six month old million three UHF transmitter to scrap metal. CO2 or foam it would of repaired for probably a hundred k or less.
