Dave-

Are you sure you want to go that aggressive and go to 1 1/8'' Some folks
feel that you will get a better balance of braking force between the
rear and mid brakes if you have 15/16" on the rear(OEM), and then go to
1 1/16" on the mid ones. The number for this one, is Wagner #F79767.
However each to his own desires.

I thought I would give it a try and see what happens. I suspect that the
15/16" cylinders where chosen so as to keep the rears from locking up
during a panic stop in a lightly loaded Transmode. With a fully loaded
motorhome I think we could add a lot of breaking force to the rears without
the risk of them locking up before the fronts. I am thinking that I will
give the 1-1/8 cylinders a try and do a few tests to see how well things
are balanced.

I am curious as to why one would use two different sizes, one for the mids
and another for the rears. Due to the airbag suspension design I don't see
how the mid wheel could be loaded any more than the rear wheel. And if the
loading is the same, and the speed is the same, then shouldn't the braking
force be the same??? Maybe I am just not thinking about this one right....

I was curious to find application info or GM part numbers so I would have
them on hand for future maintenance. It looks like the Bendix number
(29634) is no longer valid. At least not at the three or four parts places
that I called this morning. The carquest number (EW86000) is still good and
costs $36/ea at my local carquest store. I just don't like the idea of
using parts that I may not be able to easily locate at some future date.

I would also be interested in knowing if there are any other modifications
that need to be made when switching over to the 1 1/8" cylinders. Are the
fittings and mounting holes the same? If there is anyone on the list who
has done this upgrade I would be interested in hearing about your experiences.

TIA
