For MANY years, most of us installed rear wheel seals flush to the hub surface which
bottomed it out in the seal bore. All of the seals at that time were made to strict
tolerances, and would contact the spindle adequately. Recently an assembly drawing with
instructions was posted on the net, showing us that we had been incorrectly installing the
seal all of these years.
