Good day,

I am new to the forum but have been really enjoying reading a ton of the maintenance threads. I do not own a GMC motorhome but I do have a 1966 Olds Toronado and having just about the same drivetrain, I've used many of the tricks and tips while working on my car. Some real good information on here! I do love the GMC Motorhome though and hope to someday own one.

Welcome! It is nice having so much crossover between the two communities and sharing info. I went the other direction, and collected four GMC motorhomes before eventually getting a '68 Toronado. One of my selling points to the wife was, "Just imagine if we had all our summer trips lined up and reserved, and then we lost an engine in the motorhome. We could just swap everything from the Toronado over in a weekend without waiting a year on an engine shop!"

I don't know if she fully bought it, but hey, it's plausible, and we have a Toronado now. :)

She didn't say, "Don't we have 3 other motor home engines sitting right outside?" 😉

Hello and welcome! Glad you found this place, and you're right, there's a lot of experience and good information offered up. Where do you call home? The GMC Assist List (AKA the Black List after Roger Black) has listings of GMC people all over the country. Find some in your area and maybe go visit to spend a little time with a GMC. It's a buyer's market...

Tornadoes are cool, no doubt, but never underestimate the advantages of having a bathroom, bed and refrigerator with you at all times. Makes life simple!
