Look for a local auto electric rebuilder to rebuild your existing alternator. It will be a better fix than the rebuild from an auto store. Some motor shops will do auto alternators and starters.

I got a new 100 amp last year. It made it to the east coast and back and I worked it hard. I think it was from Amazon. I've heard of them also being available through NAPA.
I'm planning to install solar panels this year to charge/maintain the house batteries while traveling instead of pulling power from the charging system which fights to maintain main battery voltage when driving the electric cooling fans I installed. Next step would be more/higher capacity alternator(s). I'd rather not do that.

AutoZone Duralast Gold New Alternator 7157MN should fit.​

Duralast DL3629S does not show up on the AutoZone website anymore.

Actually if you search on "Alternator 7157", you can find a few different vendors.

I got a new 100 amp last year. It made it to the east coast and back and I worked it hard. I think it was from Amazon. I've heard of them also being available through NAPA.

How about an upgrade that is much more reliable, intelligent and uses much less horsepower.

The red alternator produces 160 amps at full throttle and only needs 6 horsepower.

This alternator is a Balmar 12v 160a marine grade alternator which needs a remote regulator and the best is a WakeSpeed WS500.

With this regulator, you can precisely match the alternator with whatever your battery bank capacity is. It can be as many batteries as you like, whatever type of battery, lead/acid, sealed acid, lithium or LiFePO4. It can be programed to perfectly match the charging characteristics

Internally, you can set the dip switches to reduce the output to 120A.

You can even regulate multiple alternators and battery banks with this device.
