Bill Bryant, GMC Historian, pretty much single-handedly located and acquired the 22nd GMC built and had it transported to the Pontiac Transportation Museum. The first 20 GMCs were destroyed in testing so this is a historically early GMC Motorhome.

Number 22 needs restoration and we're hoping to set up work parties/rallies to get the ball rolling.

Please show your support and join Terry's Zoom presentation tonight!

I'm sorry so many missed it, but it was recorded! I'll find out from Terry where and when it'll be posted and let people know.

I found out about the Zoom presentation shortly before I posted, then I texted a bunch of people directly knowing that many wouldn't check in on the forum beforehand.

The presentation was excellent. It covered the history of the GMC Motorhome with interesting diversions into road trips, rallies and color commentary. Karen Breen did a stellar job weaving together a lot of Bill Bryant's archive photos, scans and videos. Many of the photos and scans were new to me.

Hi Every one after reading the emails has anyone or is anyone going to publish a book egarding the complete history of these fantastic coaches/motorhomes? its about time if not.I recently bought a book relating to the Greyhound Scenicruiser by Paul Von Fange great detail but as there is only 1000 of the coaches made I would think that it had limited following where as with 12,000 RVs made would be I feel sure it would sell well(getting the Scenicruiser book over to here in the uk cost me an arm and leg)give me your feed back if you like regarding this matter
Kind regards Phil (1977 Eleganza)

Hi Everyone.

Thank you for your kind remarks about my presentation. It was a joy to create and share. I purposely sought out obscure content and updated information; I also place a high priority in promoting the next generation. I had enough content for another half-hour! I wanted to cover stretch GMCs, have an interior video walkthrough, talk more about the experience of living in a GMC, and how and why the GMC has held up so well mechanically (suspension, frame, parts availability) and in its design (fiberglass skin, aerodynamics, chassis technology is well executed with superior handling and driveability ) versus SOB.

Terry Connolly at the Pontiac Transportation Museum is allowing the video to be posted and I'm in the process of making the video available to view. I will post the information in this thread when it is ready.

Karen

P.S.: Caveat - The Zoom meeting link I had shared privately to only a few people via email was reposted here, which triggered a security alert at the start of the presentation. Issues were luckily resolved before the meeting began, but it’s always helpful to check with the meeting organizer before sharing meeting links publicly. Thanks for understanding!

Karen, your wording makes it sound like the person posting the link here is the one responsible for information in a private email becoming public. In Richard RV's defense, it appears he shared it after an email from Terry which said "This is the Zoom link for Thursday evening. We'll get you on it as we set up just before 7. Also feel free to pass it along to anyone remote that YOU want to have join." Richard RV did nothing wrong by posting it here..
