Emery passed away peacefully this morning.

We have lost another great GMC owner. Emery would always take the time to explain things in detail. I met him at many GMCMI rallies and always attended any seminars he was giving.

An amazing GMCer. Will be very hard to replace him. RIP Emery.
Very sad news. Emery was one of the smartest, most caring men I knew. We all benefited from him in one way or another. He was a great communicator and leader and friend. He will be missed greatly.
Emery was one of the giants of the GMC community and of GMCnet, posting more than 10,000 messages. I'm sorry I never got to meet him, but my understanding is that he remained active with his coach to the very end. Condolences to his friends and family.
Actually the engine was replaced about a year ago in Nebraska and Emery was able to drive it home. Just as he got it to his driveway it quit on him. He had been trying to get the coach to run ever since.
Emery was having issues with the Howel fuel injection. Who do I talk to about troubleshooting the Howel system for Michele Stora now?
There is a google email group based mostly on the Howell/EBL system. I'm not sure who is running it now as Ken Henderson has bowed out.

I have dealt with Ken Henderson in the past. He has a knack for instructing me down to my level. I am sure he will forward who to get in touch within the group.

Rest in peace Emery, friend and mentor to many in the GMC community. Emery took time to send me a note of advice regarding a GMC issue that I was having when he hardly knew me, a new member. Very typical of our friend Emery Stora.
When I first considered getting a GMC I stumbled on some photos that really stuck in my head. It was either on Bdub.net or the photo site I can't find it now, but I'm sure they are still out there somewhere. It instantly said to me "now these are the type of people you really want to get to know better".
The photo's in question were of Emery's garage, or it may have been a carport, that was inconsiderately designed to be too short to admit a GMC. Clicking through them was a delightful exposition of how problem solver wins at life. I hope somebody can find them and link them here. They are like a tiny little self-help book about not letting stuff get in your way.
Thank you Emery for doing crazy stuff and sharing what you learned. Thinking about your garage makes me want to get out there and slay some dragons.

TJG, Thank you for that link. After using the first link, I was upset that such a remarkable and accomplished man had such a simple and generic obit. Your link points to a great obit and a fine picture of a man very much beloved in the GMC community.
Emery was one of the most respected people in the GMC Motorhome Community. There are many photos where he is mentioned. Just type EMERY into the search box at www.gmcmhphotos.com
