Was wondering on how the plumbing pipe is attached to the tank? Is it glued, threaded or just slips down into the tank? As far as I can tell this tank could be original so I thought I’d replace it while I wait for the engine to get done. Also do the macerator conversion too.

Thanks,
TG

What pipe? What model coach?

There are 4 different pipe connections on my palm beach black tank.

The driver side kitchen drain, that should have a compression connection. Oring and a nut. You can see that through an access panel next
To your air compessor system.

The bath sink/drain. That one has a fitting with an oring in it on tank side(female). And the male coach side. That just goes in. Held up in place by the toilet(screws in)

Ah thanks. Sounds like once the toilet is removed and the support brackets for the tank I’ll be able to drop the old tank?

Pull the toilet. The flange can be a pain, screws on flange sometimes stripped or rotted.

Spin the toulet flange out and that frees the tank from above. I have a welded tool for that…. See my photos. There are ways to make something that assists in Pinning that flange.

The driver side vent connection will most probably pull apart when tank drops.
