Wired or wireless backup cameras

I’m exhausted from trying to figure out which way to go here.
Wired appears more stable but harder to install.
Wireless, easier to install but which brand is best? Can plug into cigarette port but could I route it over to the Accessory fuse?
Solar seems helpful to keep camera charged -but do they work? Magnets are useless on GMC’s. What is best way to attach?
This is giving me a headache!

My camera has the option of being either wired or wireless. I tried wireless first, but I have over 40 years experience in wireless RF communications so I wasn't surprised the wireless option was cutting out often. I soon ran a coaxial cable from the screen to the camera and it works well.... I say well because its about 10 years old so it's far from HD.
My camera is mounted above the rear window and is activated by the clearance light power. That way I can turn ON the camera by simply turning ON the parking lights.

+1 for direct wiring. Run the wires along the left rail under the coach.

I used an IP camera mounted to the roof and hardwired through a marine cable gland to a tiny (2x2) wi-fi router and power supply in the rear overhead camera. Power was from a cabin light in the base of the cabinet. Display is an old 8" tablet stuck to the windshield with a suction mount.

Works fine; never loses signal.

I wired my wireless camera to the backup lights so only turns on when in reverse and it's one that is bolted to the license plate. The display is turned on with the ignition but only comes to life with a camera signal. Works surprisingly well.
I had to move the plate to the right side because the heat pump had to exhaust on the left side where the plate was.
