So I know of the electric kit, but I just don't have the time and the money right now to dive into that project. Most likely if it is raining badly, I will pull over. I can certainly do Rain-X also. But I should try to get the OEM stuff working as best I can. My blades and arms, spray nozzle and hoses are all banged up. Definitely need to replace most all of it. But I am guessing from what I have seen, there are no replacement arms?

Regarding the blades, it seems OEM had both Trico and Anco? From one of t he GMC sites:

WIPER BLADES
Wiper blade assembly is Trico # 64-200 (silver) or #64-201 (black) The refill only is Trico # 72-200 if you have a Trico blade. I believe Trico was the OEM blade. If you have an Anco blade the refill is Trico# 70-200. The little nozzle for the washers are replaced with Anco# 48-03 that comes with the little screw and nut as well as the hose. All of the above are one per package, not a pair. All of the above likely have to be ordered by your parts house.

Is this what I need?

But not sure that fits the arm, and/or about the nozzle, or if it is standard size for the tubing?

I am sure someone has been down this path.

Arms are available from GMC Co-op with a bend in them that look better than OEM in my opinion. Talk to Jim Bounds about how to install properly. You'll probably need a puller to remove the old ones.

Also, I prefer Aquapel to Rain-X by far. One application is good for six months. Beware of counterfeit product though. I get mine from Tire Rack.

Search the GMC Forum archives for Lumina wiper arms. I bought some from Pep Boys and reamed the mount myself. Or just buy ready to install from one of the vendors. If you really want a low cost solution (not counting your time and labor) try to find some in a junk yard.

If you get that sorta fixed and still aren't totally happy you can also use Turtle Wax on the windshields after cleaning......works fantastic....plus you can use it on your rig too. (Make sure its this one)download.jpeg.webp

Ok so I am stupid? Not sure how these new arms are supposed to connect and what came off when removed was different on each side. Neither seems to fit simply as far as replacement. Sorry, seems stupid but I am scratching my head. 20200815_115827.webp20200815_115835.webp20200815_115845.webp20200815_115851.webp20200815_115859.webp

On the old arms, one of them simply came off with the knurled insert (with the ridges) still inside. Just knock it out and reinstall on the pin protruding from the coach. If necessary you can get replacement inserts pretty inexpensively from golbymotorcorp.com.

As far as the arm goes, is it one of the Lumina bent arms? If so, there's a procedure to drill the tapered hole in the arms using a step bit on a drill press to give it the necessary ridges for the knurled insert to bite into. You also need to be careful to clean and lubricate the threads so that you don't strip or break the pin. Either search GMCnet, Google, or contact Jim Bounds at Cooperative Motor works for the procedure. Maybe someone who knows exactly what to do will add a comment here.

I got my Lumina arms from the Coop and they had already been drilled with the step bit.

Nice pics. Assuming you have the Lumina arms Christos' instructions are good. Search GMCnet archives for more detail. HF sells step bits for cheap. Be careful not to drill the new arms too much or they will seat too low on the knurled insert. I drilled mine so the insert is flush with the mount on the arm. That works fine but required and extra "spacer" nut to hold the arm secure and holds the blade tighter to the windshield (more friction). Others I've seen are not drilled so deep.

The arms are from GMC Applied, Jim K. You would think they would include some sort in instructions since it isn't direct replace.

I wasn't in the mood for a project, I would have just put blades in the old arms. 20200815_151429.webp

I just asked Ken Henderson this question yesterday and below is his response. By the way, I headed to Car Quest looking to find a set of 22” blades for my Lumina APV arms but they wouldn’t let me open packages to test fit. By sheer luck, I discovered that 1994 Cadillac Brougham AC Delco #25643031 is a perfect fit for these arms. You want to use 2 driver side wiper arms (the dog leg angled one) for each side.

1. Make sure the wipers are "Parked".

2. Remove the old arms and pull off the knurled knobs from the flatted shafts.

3. Use a reamer (I've found the middle-sized step drills to work well) to fit the knobs into the Lumina arms until the knobs protrude about 1/16" on the bottom side.

4. Put the knobs back on the flatted shafts and position the arms to exactly where you want them to be at Park.

5. CAREFULLY remove the knobs and arms together, keeping them in exactly the same relationship.

6. Place each set in a vice (preferably with some protection for the exposed side of the arm) and clamp the knob into the arm so that some of that 1/16" is used up as the knurled knob cuts grooves into the arm.

7. Re-install the arm&knob sets and your preferred retaining nuts.

8. The arms should not slip on the knobs if you follow this procedure. I've heard of folks not doing this and having the knobs turn in the arms, eventually needing to be epoxied together.

My Anco wiper refills are Anco 53-20. I believe there may be two widths, this is the wide one.
