Windshield tinting

I had mine done. It is an improvement…. But the guy who did mine said never again…. Or at least charge 3x as much.

the driver side lower is really close to impossible to get to stretch and fit because of the almost no room between the dash and windshield on that big curve.

but other have had people do their windshield’s and never heard a complaint on how it helps keep things a little cooler. But for me it is better- but when you are talking extreme on a non film windshield. Any reduction kn heat anything is noticeable

Ceramic content film, which reflects IR light as well as UV, will make a significant difference in cabin temperature. It is really difficult to install on the driver side windshield because of the dash being so close to the glass. Removing the shell/cover helps a little, but not much. The "easiest" way to do it is to install the tint when replacing the windshield.

I had an "eyebrow" of regular dark tint installed on the front windshield along with the cockpit side windows tinted. This was about 10 years, so likely before these windshield tints were available. It made a huge difference in the cockpit. Might be an option if the new tints are out of the budget.
