Windshield Tint

I went to get a price on doing the front windshields with 3M Crystalline.

1st place said they couldn't do it because of the curve in the windshield.

2nd place said they could do it but that they would have to do 2 pieces because of the curve.

3rd place said they could do it-never said anything about doing it in 2 pieces.

My question is has anyone tinted their windshield and had it done with just one piece
of tint?
Has anyone used the 3M Crystalline on their RV?

Bob,
Get a large sheet of paper and do a practice run, youll see that there will
be lot of waste unless you start with a large sheet.
I'm assuming this is the almost clear material that reflect.

I talked to a local fellow about 4 days ago. He was having his front windows tinted. The guy was having it done and going to use the 3M crystaline
stuff on it.

Yes Bob, my windshields are tinted with 3M metalized tint film, non mirror 50% light and one piece..
There is lighter shade, but the person that did it wasn't going to get a roll just for me. $$$$
The glass has to be out, to do it right. Mine where out to work on dash and leaks.
I was advised to keep the windshields covered when not driving, sun heat may cause premature bubbling but
driving wind does help remove heat from the glass.
It's nice to drive into the sun and not get scorched or baked. AC does a little better too.
Night driving visability is reduced, but I don't drive at night.
I have tinted all other windows on y coach, but I don't have any know-how on where to start on such a curved glass.
All muti-piece tints seams tend to pull apart over time, and it would be more evident of the tint then the one piece would.
The big cost will be the tint roll, unless you hit on a remnant piece with extra to experiment with on how to do it.
