Ritch I assume that what you are looking to make from the kitchen
cutting board is a plastic installation tool for the gasket.
Rather than do that I would recomend you go to your local auto
glass replacer and purchase what we used to call a "fibre stick"
It is made out of a similar material as the kitchen cutting board.
"Fibre sticks" are too cheap to bother building yourself.
Besides buying the "fibre stick" will give you more time to push rubber!
