Tommy:
I tinted my side and rear windows in Jul 1996. It makes a tremendous
difference in reducing heat gain inside the coach. I got my tinting
material from Builders Square. Got 36" x 15' wide roll of tinting
material (with a red 70 rating label heat reflective type), since that was
the size needed to do the back window.
The most important thing to do is to make absolutely sure you have
thoroughly cleaned the interior surface of the glass. Otherwise you'll be
sorry later. There will be bubbles where it does not adhere to the glass
surface.
I found on a few windows that due to the curvature, I had to make a slit in
the tinting film around the vicinity of the window latch to stop the
puckering. You have to look very close to tell that I slit it, after it
dries.
If you cut the film by placing it on the outside of the window and tracing
with a knife all around the perimeter, you'll have a considerably easier
time installing it inside. I used a 6" squeegee to apply the film to the
windows and work out all the air bubbles, along with a dish sop and water
solution in a trigger bottle.
