The picture in your link is what I purchased and installed. The one I took out had a more distinct 90 degree and deeper groove. The old style would have been easier to install.

So was the profile of the rubber you bought not the same as advertised? The online picture looks like the original, so I can see why you bought it.

It was the same. I didn't remove any of the old before ordering. I assumed since it was a GMC Motorhome site that this was what you use. The rubber to the right in the picture is the old. The new is on the left. I had a couple of corners where the new would not reach the metal flange. I tucked it behind the window edge and used silicon.
