Hey Netters:
What's the correct wheel stud/lug nut tightening torque? My owner's
manual says 250 ft lbs. Could that be right???? Seems like an awful
lot. Thanks.

I was told 170 ft # would be ok and that is what I have been driving
with. No problems to speak of and I can change a flat if I need to
without a snipe. The 170 was passed on from Osburnes in NM. and someone,
who's name escapes me at this time. Darren

That would be for dry threads on the steel wheels - if you lube the threads,
you'll want to use less than 250 ft lbs.
