Water Tank monitoring sensors, NON CONTACT TYPE ELECTRONIC

For those that have failing or no sensors on your water tank, or Grey/Black water tank, there is a solution that doe NOT require
drilling holes.
It is a sensor that is attached to the side of a non-metal tank at the level you want to know when the water level reaches.
voltage 5 - 12/24 volt and you can connect to an led for each sensor on your panel.
There is no drilling in your tank so it cannot leak.

Sensor is roughly 1" high x 1/2" x 1/2". The sensor has a built in LED in the case if you want to check the tank where the tank is mounted.

Big advantage is you do not cut a hole in the tank.
For multiple levels, use another sensor for each level.
at $15 per sensor, for 4 sensors thats $60 bucks and no holes.
The black tank could go with two, at half level and 3/4 level. That gives some time but you know you have to dump the tank.
The black tank should be fine for the sensor but you'd need to seal a plastic box over it onto the tank to keep
the sensor dry. i dont think it would like to get wet.

I just found this as i was looking for a level indicator for a non GMC project, but this may be a good
idea for the GMC too as my tanks have no working sensors. With the OEM tank I may have to replace the tank anyway so it will all be new when done.

not that bad I don't think.
The sensors get a power feed and you bring up the wire for the led(s).
A simple plastic panel with how many led's you need, (one led for each sensor).
they now sell led's that are wired for 12v dc.
The sensor, as I understand it, can trip a relay to run a pump, sound an alarm,
whatever you need.
All depends on what you want.
If you really want to keep the original monitor panel, I know someone here has
the resistance numbers needed for each level for the panel to read.
you would need to wire as he directs and connect to the panel. It would work.
I think what you can do with this has many ideas, just depends.
I am thinking his resistance is cut in as the switches sense liquid level, so
easy enough to add some small dip relays... These could be at the tank, behind the
monitor, not a hard wire job, just a little time.
Just depends on what you want to do with it and what you want to put into it.

Like I said, what caught my eye was no holes drilled in the tank, I said HMMmmmmm.. lol.
I'm always looking for ideas.

If you like that, check out the SeeLevel2 system!
