Richard I found that Water Injection can be helpful under certain
circumstances. Running a little extra advance or compression
can help both economy and power, but only if it can be
accomplished without detonation. Water injection can reduce
detonation without the expense of premium fuel.

Although we used to enjoy riding our motorcycles on cool humid
nights because they seemed to run better, on an engine that
is not on the edge of detonation I don't know that that there would be
any benifit to either milage or power.

As well there are different types of systems. Some are setup
so that they provide water mist only under certain circumstances
(i.e. low engine vacumn) others are set up so that they provide a
small amount of water at all times.

Although I was happiest with the settup that only provided water
mist under low engine vacumn, continuous use of a small amount
of water can help reduce carbon buildup (never a problem personaly)

I wouldn't be surprized to find that if there were any gain to be had by
the "platinum fuel saver" that it would come from expensive water.

If you try the water injection let us know how it turns out. My experienc=
e
with Oldsmobile motors is limited to about 100 miles.
