Water Heater

Has anyone installed a propane water heater in place of the electric unit?
I don't mean the instant type but the 6 gallon Suburban/Atwood type. I
would like feedback on the subject. I am considering the change because I
will be doing a lot of dry camping and don't want to have to fire the Onan
up when I want hot water.

Hi Russ.

I changed to a 3-way when the last gave out.
Propane (with electronic ignition), 110V and engine heat exchanger. (Mine
did not have engine heat originally).

I have not hooked up the 110 yet but use it regularily on Propane. The
electronic ignition is real handy as it eliminates a trip outside.

The previous model was a 6gal propane only.
