I need some help locating the correct washer for my outside rearview mirror,
circa 1995 or so. The base is attached to the coach and a bolt (3/8 or so)
goes up into the mirror face itself. Between the metal of the base and the
metal of the mirror is a special material washer. Rubber is too soft, nylon
is too hard. I once was told that Ford carried it but no luck with talking
that up to the parts department. If it is not just right, I can't tighten
down enuf to keep the mirror positioned in place. And I have used a cheater
on a ratchet to the point of breakage. Helpful suggestions please.
