All three of my Avions were wired at the factory, I don't know if it was
done by GMC or Avion. I don't know if GMC did it for their models. The CB
panel in the Avions came with a breaker for both even if the A/C wasn't
installed.
Brisk Air models can face forward as the distance from the part that passes
through the roof to the back of the unit will not interfere with the
clearance lights. I believe that measurement is 14 inches. Any of the others
will have to be turned around but that really doesn't matter as you don't
need to run it going down the road.
I like the A/C units that have two fans, one for the condenser and one for
the evaporator, unfortunately the best model is no longer made; the Carrier.
I put two Dometic 13,500 BTU units on Double Trouble which I got from
Adventure RV, they work fine; however, the alignment of the control knobs
(attached to the upper unit) and the internal ceiling unit left a LOT to be
desired. Being the anally retentive bugger that I am I HAD to fix that and
it took quite a bit of fiddling around.
IIRC all the low profile units need to be turned around.

a 26 wired 50 amp, so the wire should be there? what size, brand would
you recommend? Heat pump, low profile, quiet, dependable, fits forward, are
preferences.
