I happened to have the GMC manual open as I read your question:

T = mfd. by GMC
Z = series
E = V8 Gasoline engine
06= model code (but doesn't say what "model" your "06" is. "16" is 26'.)
4 = 1974
V = Pontiac, MI assembly plant
101146 = sequential number

Definately a 1974. The 6 means it is 26' a 3, as in TZE033, means it is a
23'.
