I used a fitting that with a simple modification, that was "plastic
welded" into the opening of the holding tank. I then "glued" an ABS
adapter used with the Valtera Valve to the fitting welded to the tank.
This can at any time be reversed to use the Thetford Valve if desired.
The pictures that you have on your site will help once I get all of my
pictures taken. I won't leave you hanging, I rely on a relative for
further pictures
.
One thing that I do suggest to all is that the tank be dropped. The
welding process cannot be done on the coach. But that's not all. When I
pulled my tank off I found that the fitting for the bath water drain had
a bad seal. The fitting for the kitchen sink drain also was bad. So I
was able to fix many things that I did not suspect as being bad.
Think of it as preventative maintenance. Pulling the tank is easy, and
can be done by one person. Please be patient.
