Hi all, I have a aluminum Vac. Tk. its round about 20" long and 7" in
diameter. It has one fitting at the end that goes to the vacuum booster and
the other one on the side in the middle going to vac. fitting on intake
manifold in front of distributor both look to have checks. Anyway the Tk. is
laying sideways on cross member in front of radiator, with middle fitting on
bottom. I would like to relocate Tk. to front of driver wheel well(above
steering box) standing up. I was just wondering if anyone had any info if
this Tk. can be positioned this way? (Booster fitting on top, intake on
side) I don't see any problems since its just a vac. Tk.. but just checking
it out. Thanks

I have the same sized tank, and that's where we mounted it on mine. It
takes up a lot of room there, but at least it doesn't restrict air flow to
the radiator. If I were to do it again, I'd opt for a 4" pvc tank tucked
into the cross member (plenty of vacuum for braking supplement).
