Gene,
With the gauge reading 85 lbs on my A/C belt I could easily twist the belt more
that 180 deg. But I doubt that I would be able to twist the power steering pump
belt 180 deg at the same tension due to the closer spacing between pulleys.
So I suspect there is only one pully distance for which that rule of "thumb"
would be close.
