Trottle Body Injection System

Al:

Enjoyed reading about your experiences with the Howell TBI. The details
you provided are most interesting.

You are the first one that I've heard has experienced good results with
it.

Let us know if you learn any more about how to fix the fuel level
situation.

Al:

What I hear you saying is that you're going to live with the fuel gauge
condition. Here I thought you would come up with a solution. You're
going to wear out your fingers and switches if you don't!

What does Ed Osborn say about similar installations in this regard.

Too bad I don't have a little more time to come visit you as I'll be @
Holloman AFB for the next couple of days and then back to MI on
Thursday.

Regards,

Paul

The problem with the guages just goes away when you just switch from one
to
the other as the tank goes down. Not a big problem and one that I think
I
can handle. I don't know about others, but the people at Howell said
they
have sold many of these and are most pleased with the results. Ed
Osborn
was very pleased as this is not the first one he has installed. The
installation manual was very good and it only took about 4 hours to
install. I ran back home great at 65MPH+++... What a nice trip. The
best
I can confess I have ever had with the coach

Paul, it's not as bad as it sounds. I only had to switch a couple of times
and enjoyed seeing the guages working. By the way, I have heard from
others who have had the TBI installed. Maybe you tried one of the other or
earlier versions. This one is great. You ought to give it a try.

Glad to hear from others. I love my system and recommend it to anyone who
wants to upgrade and who is tired of always keeping the carb tuned, having
engines run when the key is off, and having vapor locking.

Engine running on (pwr off) is caused from low compression engines and still
getting an air supply. The butterfly below the carb should be an idle
adjustment as it causes the problem of run on. When we went to poorer
quality fuel in the 70's this became a problem so the butterfly was added to
shut off air to cylinders. Adjust it closed to 0.001" to 0.0015". nascar
uses carbs; they're good. Fuel injection is good too; there are 14 on the 12
cylinders usually but more sensors, computers and the like. The old mussle
cars are GOOD.
