tripping through the work load

I know this is anticlimactic, given the discussions regarding brakes, tires,
ride heights and front end size and shapes by all of our experts, but The
Eagle is rising.

I rescued a 1975 Avion out of a storage yard in The Dalles Oregon that had
been sitting for approx. 10 years. I have spent over a year going through
the mechanical aspects (not all done yet) and have driven it locally for a
total of maybe 100 miles. Yesterday, I put it on the road and freeway to an
upholstery shop about 150 miles round trip WITH NO ISSUES. Well, need to
rebalance some of those new tires but no real issues. And it feels sooo
good.

My previous '73-23' Glacier that I bought in 1979 and sold in 2017, 100,000
plus plus miles later, only failed me twice on the road. That's my goal, Go
out and come back, no repairs on the road. And to all of you lurkers, Buy
that GMC you have had your eye on and get out there. You will NOT regret it.

Dean,
Come by our shop and grab some Bead Packs to help the balance. It is easy
to slip in the pack and insert air and drive.
We also have it posted on our web site.

Thanks for the anecdote and encouragement. I'm trying my darnedest to acquire a local rescue that's been sitting for ten years myself, and not far
from you either. There are plenty of paperwork snafus in my way currently, but I want it so bad it's consuming me. I'll have to find a way, somehow,
to work it out.
