Just got back from a 400 mile test run..... was great...
You all never told me that I should be getting a down shift at low speed.
The best way I can explain it is when you start up an on-ramp and push
relatively hard, the trany down shifts. This is not the downshift switch.
I had always said, it felt like there should be a downshift there.
This is a shift I have never had since I had the GMC.
The answer was the small right-angle rubber hose going between the metal
vacuum line and the vacuum modulator was flat, pinched, crimped. The vacuum
would seal it closed.
Replaced the hose--- wonderful--- check yours.
