I need to vent...

I am still eagerly awaiting the eventual arrival of my 'new to me' coach.
I say eventual, because I am 'still' waiting on the vehicle transport company to secure a driver to haul it. - the trip will be 820 miles. From Russellville, AR to Oak Grove, MN

~the coach needs tires, does not start (cause unknown), and has airbag leak on one side ~ before anyone asks, I paid $6,490 for it knowing all this and have no unreal expectations as to the condition of the rest of the coach - mechanical and otherwise. I did get lots of pics and video - I'm content with my purchase.

So driving it home would not be possible unless I went to its present location, repaired it and drove it home, but that that comes with complications I want to avoid, so for now, that is an option I am saving for last. I would much rather have it shipped to my home where I could do the repairs.

The first outfit I hired was a bust - the 'broker' apparently knew more than the seller, the truck driver, myself, and the tow truck driver who was hired to relocate the MH to the long haul drivers location, as it's at a residence that can't be reached by a large truck/trailer. Twice he lined up the wrong truck/trailers, and during the the second snafu, he got into it with the tow truck driver (tow truck driver called me cussing and was ready to go fisticuffs with the broker) - enough was enough and I canceled that brokers services. - there's two weeks wasted.

So I hired a second service and although that broker came across much more knowledgeable in what was needed for the loading and transporting the motorhome, it's been several days and so far no progress. ugh

Both if the above mentioned brokers quoted about $2000 plus the tow trucks fees which I believe would be a fair price if they could complete the task.
I have already ordered new 16" wheels which should be here next week, new tires - already here, I also I also ordered and received the new airbags. if I don't have success with the vehicle transporters, I will have to take time off work, drive down there with new tires, airbags, tools, etc, and hope the no start issue a reasonably quick fix.

if anyone knows of a transport hauler willing to take on this task - I'd certainly be willing to talk with them.

I will give a co-worker a call. He should know someone. (We are a construction company and we have all sorts of equipment and trucks hAuled around) 820 is not really too far.

also Alex Hernandez out of blooming ton had his gmc towed all the way from california. I will see who he contracted.

Jeff Illianto - the limited slip guy hauls gmc’s. But i think your route is a little out of his normal way.

*Ianitello. Also you might try Bent Jorgensen from Minnesota (but he travels all over). He's on Facebook. You're going to want a Landoll flatbed trailer for that kind of distance. Ballpark price is $3/mile.

I got ahold of Bret - what a terrific guy!
He and I chatted and he will gladly step in and be my go to guy if the transport company doesn't pull through.
Unfortunately for me, he is not available until June, so we will see how things work out - but it's great to know I have another option!
