I have learned a lot in these past years of GMC fun. When I got the GMC
home finally after a terrible "CAR" Transmission rebuild in Susanville.
I had Rick of Quintrans here in Lompoc, take the entire thing apart and
start over. All he used was the casing. CASPRO supplied the parts like
the Drive Chains and Gears. A shift kit was put in and all the rest was
heavy duty stuff including the Torque converter. The oil pan cooler was
also added as was the final drive from CASPRO. Yes, it was expensive
but I have had no more trouble since my initial problems in the late
80's. Strongly recommend the entire works from CASPRO for
transmissions. Chuck in Lompoc. PS Before I go any where Rick checks
out the tranny and I check the fluids on the tranny at night after I get
parked and leveled etc. The motor oil in the morning when all is cool.
Works fine.

my transmission is making a grumbling noise. it has 60000 mi on it. the noise sounds like its coming from the back of the transmission or when your standing on the step you can feel vibration. the final drive has been rebuilt 1 mile ago. if its not low fluid what can it be. i have a feeling its something inside calling for a rebuild. does anyone have any thoughts to this problem?

ps thanx to all who answered my questions thes past few weeks.

thanx chris 75gb
