My sender is in the threaded hole (had a plug which I removed) in the pan. I might get a temp
of 150-180 when the trans is working hard on a very hot day. Otherwise the temps seldom leave
the peg. I plan on moving the sendor some day to the line going to the trans cooler.

Chris,

My sending unit is in the Ragusa pan, I also have an external cooler. The
highest temperature I've seen was about 210*, going up a pass. It usually
stays well below 160*.

Chris,

Your 210 may translate to 260-ish at the outlet.
I see a constant 50-60 degree difference between Ragusa Pan and sender at
external filter, prior to cooling. Or to put it another way, my 'temporary'
cooling setup cools the tranny fluid 50-60 degrees.

Just in case you were wondering :-)
