A fellow GMCer (not on net yet) recently installed a transmission temp gauge
with sending unit mounted just past tork converter. Gauge typically reading
220 to 235 degrees.
I said I would ask group.
1. Is this a good selection for the sensor?
2. Other location suggestions?
3. What are normal temps when towing?
4. At what temp should he begin to worry - and a what temp does oil break
down?
I don't have a trans temp gauge - I think because ignorance is bliss!
