When I posted the method of removing all of the Transmission Fluid it was to
explain how to a question asked. My description of B&M Trick Shift and Type
F was incidental. To remove all fluid after changing fluid and filter:
disconnect one of the Transmission Cooler lines at the Radiator, slip a
hose over the line and direct to a clean drain pan. Crank engine, fluid
should be pumped into pan, when you get to about 3or 4 Quarts stop add more
fluid and continue until you have changed all fluid. Manuals will give the
specs on how much Transmission will hold. I usually pump out afew more to
insure full change. BTW detach ignition connector from HEI or center wire on
older models before cranking engine. Incidently I originally mentioned B&M
Fluid because it is Blue in color and made easy identification when all old
(red) fluid was pumped through, I'm not sure if Synthetic will be as easy to
ID.
As Arch would say "this worked for me"
