Hi,

We have a 1973 26 foot rig and want to tow one of my Volvo Station
wagons. I have an 1984 240 series 5 speed manual transmission and a 1994
960 series automatic transmission. Our preference would be to tow the
1994 (it is more comfortable). Both cars are rear wheel drive. We are
looking for recommendations to protect both car and motor home.

If we use a dolly, we would have to tow the car backwards. What are the
advantages and disadvantages of a 2 wheel dolly, 4-wheel trailer, towing
on the ground?

Has anyone towed a Volvo? What are your recommendations?

Thanks, Jeanne and Lance James
"Druggie Mobile" owners for those whom we have met.

The real question is, "What does it weigh"? You not only have to pull it
but you have to stop it. Anything over 3,000 lbs represents a potential
problem, IMHO!

The dolly will prove to be a pain. You will have to find a place to store
it at most campgrounds.
