Right on Glen! I was taught early in life, if you are going to ride em'
Harleys you better learn how to fix'em. The same goes for the GMC,
talent is fastly going away, mechanics in most garages are a lot younger
that our GMC, or it seems that way. Most of these so called mech's
have not even seen one of these ladies. Chuck
 
Only a mere 800 lbs of torque? A few years past I was working as a
mechanic for Michigan brand heavy equipment. The center bolt on their
articulating front end loader had to be tightened to 2,000 lbs. Of
course we cheated a little....we put two guys on a four foot long 1"
drive torque wrench and pulled like a couple of mules.
