I was taught by the previous owner if once the wheel is removed to
torque as required. At your next stop for the night to retorque and to
check the lugs every once in a while just in case. Sounded like solid
advice and I have been doing this since 89. It is strange how a wheel
that has been properly torque seems to need it down the road not much
but it still got one and sometimes as many as two clicks after several
hundred miles. Chuck in Lompoc, CA

Sounds like at one time the lugs were overtightened and stretched. If so
they will continue to creep. If it were mine and it happened on a regular
basis I would replace them before I lost a wheel.
