: Tire, Pressures, Weighing

I have had my coach weighed twice by John Anderson of Aweigh-We-Go and he
provides a computer printout of the results showing the max wights by
wheel, tire and by axel. This is compared to actuals and is useful,
especially as in my case we had just completed a major reconfiguration of
the interior.

John's tire seminar (I believe) is sponsored by Michelin as most of his
data seems to reflect their data. Therefore one might sense some Michelin
bias but his weight program is super. It cost me $20 the first time the
coach was weighed and $25 the 2nd time. Both occurred at the FMCA
SouthEast Area Rally in Florida.

Just had my 76 Glenbrook weighed at a State Certified Station.

Front - 3720
Rear - 6380
Total - 10100 lbs.

The Glenbrook was empty of all support items, 1/2 tank of gas, no fresh
water, no black water,
one rear bench seat was out, propane 3/4 full.

The tag on the firewall says the weight is 11,700 lbs. I thought that this
would be the
dry weight??
This sure made me feel better about driving home on my to front old Michelin
XPS's, mid Michelin X bias ply's, and rear weathered, cupped, grooved
Michelin snow tires.

Passed Colorado emissions with flying colors.

Rear 7500#
Total 11,700#
And this includes full fuel, 1/2 water, 20# propane and a 250# driver.

Had mine weighed in Albuquerque during the roundup. Slightly over 12K. Guess I
could reduce weight by taking out co-pilot (124 lbs), dog (7 lbs), the jack which
I never use (25lbs) and if I lost a few maybe I could get under 12K, but until
then, I guess I should worry, but.....
