With the help and advice of many, I now have the timing chain cover apart.
Only now did I realize I forgot to get a gasket. Trying to get it local I
found that Felpro makes 2 models for the 455 engine which were described as
follows:
FELPRO TCS 13417 GASKETS, TIMING COVER SET
[Timing Cover Gasket Set] w/o Slv. 'N' Seal
FELPRO TCS 45270 GASKETS, TIMING COVER SET
[Timing Cover Gasket Set] w/Slv. 'N' Seal
Anyone have any knowledge why part #2 costs twice as much? The dimwit at the
parts store said they were the same, but why 2 prices, 2 part #'s.
I would appreciate any advice in this matter.
