Just wondering if people that had/have a Thomas 317 compressor have any pros or cons on them. I have one I removed to install a Viair when I first
purchased our coach. I'd scored a great deal on the Viair at SEMA and the Thomas was working fine when I removed it. I'm considering using it on the
'rescue' coach and just wondered if it's a viable choice. Finding specs and any information on the 317 has pretty much evaded my searches (must be to
old). Any opinions on them?
Thanks for your time, Hal

I'm using one for many years and it performs just fine. I'd say yes, it'll
do the job.

I had a Thomas 317 compressor (I think it was a 317) that I never installed. I installed a Viair instead. The reason being that the specs at the
time for the Thomas indicated that it was not a 100% duty cycle as opposed to the Viair being 100%. I sold the Thomas at a rally flea market at a
good price to the buyer. Who knows, maybe the specs were wrong for both of them.

At least that is what I recall.
