I used The Insulator material double thickness ~ 3/4 of an inch as a padding prior
to carpeting the entire rig. Sure has helped with the noise- we will see about
the heat this summer.

Excellent idea.
I wonder if one can get one big enough. I'm thinking of the lead flanges.

I have to check on my old cover... it may have fallen victim in the heat of
battle back then

Heinz:
The eggs don't break when they hit this stuff. I wouldn't call it bouncy more
of a plush feel that I wanted compared to the indoor-outdoor look and feel.

Found the stuff after discusion on GMC net . Here is the web
