Well guys. Now is as good as anytime, to tell ....

Marjon and I have decided to do it anyway. At first. We backed out of the idea cause of my health issues but, said a few weeks ago .. what the ....
we do it and so I contacted my two friends in the USA. One in Arizona and one in California. And they have been my ",Eyes" on the search for a GMC.
Looking at several for sale.

WE think we found a good one. It was not for sale or advertised. It was the GMC of a friend of my friend. Who was thinking on going bigger because
they wanted to go fulltime and take their grandkids more often with them.

Many details and questions gone over that wires they call the internet. And for now we are almost 100% in agreement. Final engine workouts are done,
some checking ups and a reinstall of a FiTech that gave a malfunction.

Marjon and I are flying September 18. Meeting up with our friends and later on with the seller in Tucson, AZ. He is absolutely willing on letting us
free to make our final decision then. Promised, not selling or advertising it before that time.

It is a GMC Eleganza II 1977 with a 455 with newer transmission and 3.55 FD

We are not planning on bringing it to Europe, for now, but to use it as often and as long as possible in the US. Keeping it titled and insured over
there so it can stay there in between in storage.

At first. We are planning to drive it together with our friends to the big GMCWS Fall Rally in Mt.Hood near Portland, Oregon. In Oktober. Afterwards
going back to AZ and storing it there.

Congratulations Daniel n Marjon. I hope the deal works out when u get to AZ. I know u will enjoy every trip in it. As for health, it seems the happier n more active you are the better the body fights for renewed health. A GMC may be the best medicine. Enjoyed meeting u at GMCMI in Tucson n Hope our paths will meet again.

We are looking forward to it and would love meeting you guys again in Mt.Hood, or perhaps at a next rally ... who knows we can drive to Tallahassee,

Still there are lots to learn and explore .... the traveling to your destination is part of the trip ... and thanks to all, in the GMC Communitiy, we
experience such help and camaraderie. Wonderful! That also contributes enormously to the way we enjoy it ....

Here it is Sunday, and I have already helped 3 people with issues.
People that know me know that I'm here to help.
I looked up part # so they can aquire the parts locally. We get lot of
support from people that place order daily so if we can save them time in
crises, it makes sense to do so as we get it back.

Congratulations. Looks like you got a "Good 'Un"! I'm sure Y'All will
have a great time with it. Having covered the USA & Canada from Key West,
FL to Fairbanks, AK in our X-Birchaven, my confidence is based on
experience!

The only think I see wrong with your plan is that it doesn't sound like
you'll be able to make it the the GMCMI convention in Amana, IA starting on
21 Sept. We'll miss Y'All! Please don't miss Tallahassee too.

Thanks, Jim, Johnny and Ken,

for you welcoming words, and Yes Johnny, we all are mortal, and don't know our exact time of leaving, but getting the message from my doctor, "you
have between 2 and if lucky 10 years left" and realizing half of that time will be getting more painfull etc ... made us not happy, then Marjon, my
wife asked, do you still want to visit the GMCMI Spring Rally in Tucson, I had no doubt to do so. So we did and we loved it. But since I could not
predict and still can't, we backed out of the intention to buy a GMC, what was initially already the intention ...

But back home, it kept pinching and a few weeks ago I thought, if only we can enjoy it for some nice trips, why not do it, and do it now. It was right
after we had our GMC Europe Meeting, we took that decission ...

I am lucky, having such good friends, helping out. And perhaps that big good friend from above, grants me some extra time, so we can enjoy the
traveling, meeting you all and create sweet memories.

If we had more time we would love to attend the GMCMI Meeting in Amana too, Ken, but as for the 2019 Spring Convention, we really hope to meet you
there. And who knows, planning enough time in getting there, we could pass by, and perhaps also your place Johnny, if we are welcome

As I look at it is combing our trips with the GMC Meetings an excellent way of driving through the country and seeing lots of things along the way.
I am sure you all can give us lots of tips

Who knows we drive to point X from Tucson, AZ ... and store the GMC there, come back after some time and drive it back to Tucson, or even point Y, and
fly back, choosing the places to store near an international Airport ...

Well we would like to, but this upcoming trip, we stay from September 18 to 23 October, then have to fly back. After that we plan and book the flights
for the Spring period.

And yes ... I don't complain, life is as it is given to us. I have to take it, as it comes.
And yes i like to follow your advice... living up to 100 and ..., and now I think I know what you mean by that last sentence... going down while going
over my last bridge and ik breaks off at the end .... in a sudden ... ? Does that make sense, or am I guessing .... LOL ..

I think humor is still the best way to approach things ....

But in fact for now we plan trips of 5-6 weeks, perhaps some longer in the future, but for now, our Labrador, "Doortje" is almost 12, so we won't
bring her along, that's why we don't want to let her alone for a longer time, although she is with a friend who has 3 labs .... and she is so used to
them, and instantly at home there .... and what is time for a dog, who is having a good time with "friends" ... to who'm I'm telling that ... you know
your dogs and their behavior;-)

Joining you guys would be awesome, and I am sure we will ....

Life is about living well, not long. An example of which we experienced
yesterday with Judy's parents, who are 100 and 98. They both went out into
the garage, which is down one stair step from their house. One of them
stumbled and fell down, and the other one came to assist the other one, and
fell down also. Time passed, and one parent was finally able to get up, but
was unable to help the other one up.
Judy and I arrived at this time, and were able to help the second one
up and back into the house. No injuries, only bumps and bruises, THIS TIME.
There are no advantages to living a long time, if that is what is on the
horizon.
CHERISH THE GOOD DAYS, there are more of them in your past, than there
are in our future.

Hello James,

Yes you are right, and let's switch to quality in stead of quantity....
Although we just had a very nice lady in our city, becoming 103 and at looking at her you would say 76 ... she had just renewed her drivers license,
the doctors found her very fit to drive, because she used her car a lot for attending her choir, her gymnastics group, visiting her hairdresser,
weekly, her children and grandchildren......

So sometimes quality and quantity combines nicely ...

I hope we can meet you both in Mt.Hood.

will be held. My personal health permitting, we will be attending that
rally. I am scheduled to be a presenter there. We hope to see you there as
