There are many faiths and beliefs out there...
But in this holiday time of giving and sharing I am reminded that there is one place, here, where I see nothing but giving and sharing.

We are united by an affection for an antique vehicle that still gives many of us adventure, perspective on our lives, a place of comfort for our families, and a certain knowledge that there is utility and grace in an old thing. But GMC's are old, sometimes cranky, never less than a little extra work to keep on the road.

There are, in my life, only a couple of places where the intentions are mostly pure, the advice considered, thoughtful and based on lived experience. Two of those places are here and the old email forum. They are special to me, a savior for many on the side of the road, and a beloved resource for all the coaches in process, my own included.

So it is not inappropriate to say a simple thanks in the spirit of the holidays, however you interpret them, to those who spend time taken away from their own coach, family, or whatever-- at a keyboard giving sound advice to those of us in need. The list is long-- Matt, the Kens, Bruce, Emery, Paul, Christo, Kendra and many others.
In the spirit of the holidays, thank you for giving and sharing your experience and knowledge in the pursuit of helping someone else solve a problem. You have made my life better and have helped create a safe space for a treasured vehicle.
I'm grateful and felt moved to say so.

Thank you for sharing such kind sentiments, Douglas. I'm not ashamed to say they brought a tear. Our coaches and the community around them are truly special. I'm so grateful to have discovered this little corner of the world and to have the opportunity to curate a resource and a peaceful commons that is of value. Thank you all for making this place what it is. Being a GMC'er is a treasured part of my life's journey.

If you get a chance, try joining the Sunshine Statesmen GMC club at one of their rallys in Florida. What a great group of people. We have spent many winters in Florida, and joined the SS club. Have had a blast at their rallys. Just a suggestion.
