Jimmy K sells a two part epoxy for tank and front grill repair that works.
It is made by a chemist in Oakland Ca and used primarily for oily woods. The
reason 'most' glues and epoxys don't work on various plastics is that a
release agent is put into the plastic material to get it out of its form.
Thus the glue is 'released' from doing its repair job.
I used it on a front grill of a '73 Glacier over 20 years ago and those
repairs are still going strong. It works well on about everything else as
well.
